Posted: 21 Apr 2015 07:45 AM PDT Insurance follows the car, not the driver. So, if in an accident, then the car that was involved in the accident, is filed on that car policy. I am guessing, since fiance, you are living together, so insurance needs ALL licensed drivers listed on the policy, since it would be assumed, that at any time, you or your fiance will drive each other cars. The only time that his insurance would cover while driving your car, would be (IF) your insurance denies on your policy, then his policy is secondary, and may pay for liability only, but nothing on your car. Now if you exclude him, that means he can NEVER EVER drive YOUR vehicle, which most likely won't happen. |

Question: First drivers license(Florida)? Posted: 21 Apr 2015 02:28 AM PDT You definitely do need driver education, and lots of it. Even at 18. I don't know the exact laws of graduated licensing in Florida and didn't feel like looking them up, but I do know this: That stuff isn't just in the driver's handbook, it's in the first chapter. Usually in the first few pages, in fact. It's also right on their website. Driving in live traffic, in any state or province, requires you to know and obey a whole book full of technical laws every time you do it. You're expected to know literally hundreds of laws where and whenever you drive, and if you don't understand them you're expected to learn them. The penalties for breaking those laws can be extremely harsh, and you can't use not knowing them as a defence. Your question proves that, forget the complex stuff, you don't even understand the very basics. That's why you need all the professional help you can get. |
