Posted: 26 Apr 2015 08:16 AM PDT A Month And a week Ago I Accidentally Hit A parked Cars Side Mirror, When It Happened I Didn't Know What It Was, All I Saw Was My Mirror Bent In (No Broken Glass Or Anything) And I Had No Idea What Car I Hit Because Allot Of Cars Were Parked on That Side. I circled The Block Several Times To See If There Was Damage On Any Car So I Can Leave My Information But I Didn't See Any Damages, After Circling The Block Several Times I Still Didn't See Any Damage To Any Car and I even parked and waited to see if anyone would come out but everyone who did got in their cats and left So I Left, Well it's been over a month Since It Happened And no Mail Or Phone Calls yet, should I stop worrying? The main reason im worrying is I Got Pulled Over For No turn Signal When Switching Lanes about a day ago, He Didn't Give Me A Ticket Just A Warning But He Did Pull Up A list Of Times I Got Pulled over, And On The list Was A Date Where I Didn't Get Pulled Over, The Date was almost two weeks after I Hit the car, could that be for the car I hit? When he pulled up the list He asked what happened April 6, would he of told me it was for a hit and run if one was reported that day on me instead of asking me what happened??? would I have been called by now by the insurance company or cops if the hit and run was reported on April 6?????? Please help |

If, you use your rental coverage, then your insurance company will go after the other company to be paid back. If, the other company denies and does not pay, then, your insurance may charge you. As a former auto adjuster, I did make "some" exceptions on rental, IF, they were valid. That is where, maybe your insurance could step in and help you. One last thing. I hope you have a commercial auto policy? If not, and using this van in the course of your business, then your own personal auto policy has an exclusion in it, that it will not cover. |

Posted: 26 Apr 2015 07:40 AM PDT "Title jumping" is when you buy a used car, and then try to resell it without putting the title into your name and paying your taxes and fees. OR more commonly, the car you bought was NOT registered in the name of the person you bought it from. (doesn't apply to licensed dealers). This act is illegal in many states, and COULD result in LARGE fines. In California, all vehicles MUST be registered and fees paid annually, UNLESS you officially notify the state that the car is Non-Op, and placed in storage or in a repair shop. If you DON'T notify the state, then they will charge you full price for the past years that the registration was not paid for. If you buy a car that has been sitting for several years, YOU are responsible for paying past registration fees. |
