Posted: 15 Apr 2015 04:32 PM PDT I figured they would just unscrew like the bulbs in my Ford until I watched THIS: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIte... I am so sorry! According to the video, they have to be soldered in. That's NUTS! I'd still try to do it if I were you. You don't have to worry about a heatsink or dainty, pretty soldering with light bulbs. Just take your time and go out for dinner with the money you'll save. |

Posted: 15 Apr 2015 04:25 PM PDT If it has a lawnmower engine, remove the bolt at the bottom of the float bowl (that is a metal can). Run a fine wire (like the wire used to wrap a package of bread) through the fine hole in the side of that bolt. That is called a metering hole because it limits gas flow). Then remove the float bowl and wipe out dirt. While the float bowl is off, you can inspect the needle and make sure that it operates without binding. Likely any spark is good enough, so don't mess with it. You might want to take out the spark plug and wire brush and scrape out any crud on it (or maybe just buy a new plug). |
