| Question: Can you recommend a car for me? Posted: 11 Apr 2015 08:06 PM PDT I want a used car <5k that is dog-friendly, can handle some ice/snow. I may be willing to go more expensive. I don't know what a reliable car like that might cost. |

Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you want a good car.. look for something with well under 100k miles and less than 5 years old to play it safe.. if its under warranty thats even better. Drive the car and listen for unusual engine noises (ticking or knocking), and feel the transmission shift and if its slipping or anything like that.. I suggest Honda, toyota, late model kia's, late model ford fusions. Check kelly blue book on any other cars you're interested in for reviews and retail values |

Posted: 11 Apr 2015 07:14 PM PDT if there is even an answer to that. for example would something like an 08 toyota corolla be cheaper than, i dont know, an 08 honda element insurance wise? owned not financed and i know many more factors will go into it |
