Posted: 15 Apr 2015 12:38 AM PDT The answer depends on which country you live in. UK/Europe wide answer, there is no such thing as a 110cc moped, that engine size is classed as a motorbike, mopeds are under 50cc /4kW |

Question: Looking to get my first Motorcycle? Posted: 14 Apr 2015 09:20 PM PDT i have an m50 and have ridden all my life with 4 bikes presently .. its my favorite hands down for daily commuting to work and around town, good on gas, runs/starts great, very low low maintenance, comfortable/very laid back riding, very low seat height/ easy to manage, looks good/ lots of people like it, it gets respect on the road much more than a sport bike .. i highly recommend .. if its your first bike i would get a used one until you learn how to care for a bike ...

Question: Two stroke or four stroke for young person with limited amounts of money? Posted: 14 Apr 2015 09:08 PM PDT I am looking (anxiously waiting to, actually) to get back into motocross. I had to give my bike up a while ago when my parents divorced. I am getting to the point of having enough money to purchase another now that I am older and have a job. I don't make a lot of money. When I was younger my dad did all of the maintenance on our bikes so I wasn't really involved in the repairs and stuff. All of us had 4 strokes at the time with the exception of my sister (pw50). I mentioned purchasing one the other day (I have had my heart set on the kx450) and he insisted I buy a 2 stroke for economic reasons. I am hesitant to do so for several reasons. 1. I just love the sound of 4 strokes. 2 They have a smoother power band 3. Many of the big name manufacturers such as honda and kawasaki have completely ceased production of 2 stroke bikes. I have never had to have someone rebuild an engine (4 stroke) or rebuild an engine myself (2 stroke...and my dad can teach me). What are the costs and what are your suggestions? I am just looking to be a weekend warrior kinda rider, not serious racing (at least, not at the moment). ![]() |
Posted: 14 Apr 2015 07:02 PM PDT As long as you fit it and it fits youthan why not? The WR 250 is geared for good resonse at the thottle, quick enough and not overwhelming, nice bike, won't be lots of fun on the freewy but doable. ![]() |
