Posted: 18 Apr 2015 01:16 AM PDT It's YOUR FAULT!!!!! All the moronic people who try to go around a problem in front of them need to learn to stay in their lane and SLOW DOWN as their first response! You were also FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE! If you want to drive TOO fast, then give yourself MORE room. If you can't understand my answer, you're going to keep crashing and thinking it's somebody else's fault. p.s. What if the person in front of you abruptly stopped hard, and your response was to continue at speed and go around the car in front of you, but as you get around it on the side you see the guy running across the road, a tenth of a second before you hit him? Expect the unexpected! When the guy in front of you does a panic stop, there might be a good reason that he sees, that you don't see. |

Question: Tips for keeping a Trailer Safe? Posted: 17 Apr 2015 09:54 AM PDT The cargo door will have a latch that can be padlocked. The hitch will have a latch that can be padlocked so it will not come off the ball of the tow vehicle. Have locks for those. If you have a drawbar hitch, you may want to secure the drawbar to the receiver to it cannot be released that way. There are locking pins for that, or you could probably padlock the safety chain instead (no need for a lock on the hitch latch in that case). You should also consider where you park. In a lighted, highly visible area. If you back up against an obstruction like a fence, that might also make it harder to steal the trailer or open the door. Bottom line, with just a couple of padlocks, you can make your target harder than the other guys and will probably decrease your chances of trouble 100X. |
