Question: Does Armorall prevent tires from dry rotting.? Posted: 10 Apr 2015 05:21 PM PDT Armor-All is a Methyl-Silicate wax formula that keeps rubber surfaces soft and helps prevent cracking due to heat and sun exposure. Use Armor-All frequently and the tires stay looking nice, and dry-rot is delayed. That said, rubber will break down and crack over enough time. Bletchley's tire treatment is a bit cheaper and lasts a bit longer. It may even extend tire life a bit longer, but I have no real data to support that idea. It makes sense to take care of the tire surfaces. Do you wax the inside wall of the tire too? Or were you just doing the outside when it looks like it needs it? The inside walls dry-rot more slowly because they get less UV from the sun. They need coating too, but only once a year or so. |
Question: Is an 07' hemi for charger better than an 06'? Posted: 10 Apr 2015 05:14 PM PDT I have an 06' Charger RT and my engine went out. I went to get it fixed and they told me that my heads needed to be replaced. I did some research and found on "complaints.com" that there are tons of cases where 06' chargers had their engines fail. I fixed the engine anyway and at 500 miles after it was fixed, same thing happened. I do not want to keep putting money into a bad engine. I didn't see as many complaints on the 07'... is it possible they fixed this issue a year later? If so, will an 07' fit into an 06 charger with the 06 transmission? PS- Im am not Car savvy so I don't know what is causing my engine to go out. I do not drive fast nor crazy. |
