| Question: Hi there when adding a second battery what kind of wire to use solid or strand type wire? Posted: 06 Apr 2015 02:59 PM PDT Heavy gauge stranded wire. The more cores the better as it's more flexible and so resists the bending and vibration in a vehicle better. Solid core will soon break due to vibration and metal fatigue. Think welding cable. High current, but lots of small conductors to keep it flexible. Ian |
