Question: Making a dirt bike street legal in texas? Posted: 27 Apr 2015 12:57 AM PDT Okay... so I have all the requirements installed. So now I would need to get it inspected? Where would I go for that? So would I have to haul it over to the place that would inspect my bike? If it's pretty close I would just like to ride it over there but I don't wanna get introuble. How do inspections work? Then after that they give me some sort of proof that it's been inspected then I go to the DMV where they get my bike registered as a street legal bike and give me plates and all that jazz? I'm new to the state of Texas and new to converting them to street legal, and well.... new to motorcycles in general. Let me know if I'm in the right track haha Also, the guy who sold me the bike said it started out street legal (DR350SE) but he made it a pure dirt bike. He said it shouldn't be a problem to make it street legal and the DMV should let me do it easily. Right? |
Posted: 26 Apr 2015 11:23 PM PDT Your question makes very little sense. You have not said if you are giving the bike any throttle. The gearbox is harder to shift gears when the engine is off / bike not rolling. If you dont understand the basic operations of a motorcycle, you should not be riding an R1. |
Question: What's wrong with my bike? It wont start after I washed it? Posted: 26 Apr 2015 11:23 PM PDT Okay, It was running fine the day before. The next day I washed it. I just used a regular hose, I didn't use those pressurized ones. I left the seat on, and I made sure I didn't get any water into the exhaust. I dried it with a cloth. I tried to start it, and yeah... nothing. I tried again a few hours later and nothing. It's a dr350. When I hit the push start button it makes this clicking noise. So maybe I messed up the battery somehow? That's what it sounds like... but usually you guys know better. I'm a noob since this is my first vehicle ha. I'll can't find the charger for the battery but that's what I would do next once I find it. The thing is the lights and horn still work... So the battery still works? Im not sure I need help. Here's a link to the video. |
