Posted: 26 Nov 2014 06:36 AM PST If you wire each speaker's pair of voice coils in parallel, you get 2 ohms, and if you then wire 2 speakers in parallel you will get down to 1 ohm. Yes, you will match the output of the amp. |

Question: My bass from my amp and sub keep going after my car is off?????? Posted: 26 Nov 2014 05:30 AM PST First, when you turn the car off, the power to the remote turn-on lead (usually thin blue wire) should be cut. Meaning the amplifier should turn off. That would be the first thing I'd look into. Use a voltmeter to watch voltage on that wire OR turn the car off, the bass keeps playing, go to the amp and disconnect ONLY that thin wire. Does the amp keep playing? If so, it's faulty. Flatout. There's no speaker problem you could possibly have that would force the amplifier to remain on after power has been removed from that remote turn-on lead. Sounds like you have a faulty amp anyway.... but really just curious how the amp is staying on after the car is off.... unless you have it improperly connected. |

Question: Semi-technical Car Audio question? Posted: 26 Nov 2014 01:34 AM PST Yes, the 2 ohm version. A pair of dual 2's can be wired for 1/2, 2 or 8 ohms. Wired for 2, they'll get 250w rms each which would be ideal. D4's can go 1, 4 or 16 ohms. 2 ohm wiring: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/product/i... |
