Question: Why is the work-life balance in train service so horrible?

Why is the work-life balance in train service so horrible?

I feel like I'm either on the rails, waiting by my phone, or in bed sleeping lol. I can't even go away somewhere for a couple of days to recharge (like with most jobs) since I'm on call 24/6. The railroads need to improve the work-life balance for T&E employees. It's hard to truly be happy and fulfilled working like this. Just my thoughts.

Question: How fast does the train in europe go miles per hour.?

Posted: 02 Nov 2014 12:21 PM PST

The fastest scheduled trains in the world are operated by the French TGVs, at up to 320 kph/199 mph, although much higher speeds have been achieved on test runs. Ordinary main line long distance trains run at scheduled speeds up to around 210kph/130mph where track conditions allow.
