Coolant leak on 2000 cbr 900rr?

I have a coolant leak coming from the left side of the case. The placement of the leak almost seems like it changes from on the water pump to behind the water pump. The water pump also steams out sometimes but it seems like its always coming from under the tank. It never overheats only at stops sometimes it will get to 215 degrees then it will lower back to 180 and below once i start riding. And it will only leak when i start it up in the morning. Then the rest of the day it will be good. Could this be a simple thermo gasket? I really hope its not a crack in the case or head gasket. Thanks

Best Dirt Bike for beginner?

Hey guys, I want to start riding dirt bikes, but I dont know where to start. Ive ridden on a friends Peewee 80 a couple years ago just for fun and thats the only experience ive really had. Ill mostly be riding trails. I heard 2 strokes are the best bikes to use just because they are easy to maintain and ride. So I was thinking maybe a 125cc bike? Just looking for more information. By the way I live in Australia. Thanks.

Question: Can I put a motorcycle engine in a go kart?

Yep, even a truck engine if you want..

Its totally doable, lets assume you want a r6 engine :

Engine : 500$
Metals ( plate, tube) : 50$
Welder : 100$
Angle grinder : 50bucks

You can use much cheaper engines.

Here's a tip to aling your engine: use what i call a dummy sprocket, a sprocket that fit, you weld a straight section of square tube on top and bottem, when the ebgine is in all you have to do is make clamp the otger end to the rear sprocket, that way its aligned.

If you have a swing arm, you want all 3 points (sprocket - pivot - rear sprocket) aligned, or its gonna pull the swingarm when you let er rip...
