Posted: 19 Nov 2014 04:39 PM PST 6 quartz of ethylene glycol and 1 quart of DEXCOOL? Is that okay? Please professionals only? I flushed the coolant out in my cobalt before doing my thermostat and I couldn't hose it out, so there was probably a quart of DEXCOOL left in the car. So I went with ethylene glycol instead f DEXCOOL because I've heard DEXCOOL is garbage and that it is best replaced in GM's with the green ethylene glycol, so if there is a quart of DEXCOOL left in my car because I couldn't hose it out... Will it develop the gel? And how soon will it gel? I cant do another flush until Monday.. and I have to drive 100plus miles in-between that time? Thanks. 2005 chevy cobalt 2.2 |
Question: Wiring amplifier to a 2002 silverado.? Posted: 19 Nov 2014 04:38 PM PST I have the power cord fed through my firewall but when I went to connect it to the positive terminal of the battery I realize that it wouldn't work. It is a side terminal but the bolt is far too thick to add my power cord. Could I connect it to the battery positive that is right next to the alternator? Or would adapter would I need in order to fix it to the battery? |
Question: Car keeps dying..help? Posted: 19 Nov 2014 04:35 PM PST If you completely drain your battery and it's old, you can cause your battery to not hold a charge anymore. Try driving for a really long time (150+ miles) without any drain on it, so no radio, no heater or fan, nothing. Just drive. If it doesn't hold a charge after that then you need a new battery (~$65). Also, if your battery is over 5 years old you probably needed a new one anyway. |
Question: Best and reasonable place to get breaks fixed? Posted: 19 Nov 2014 04:15 PM PST A local independent automotive service center, preferable not a chain such as Firestone or Meineke. Go to yelp.com for find reliable, highly rated and review automotive repair centers in your area. |
