- Question: Buying a car - which one is good?
Posted: 07 Nov 2014 08:25 PM PST Probably not. The cost to maintain an old, second car in good enough condition for snow use is pretty high. Even in the snow belt, most local governments do a pretty good job of snow removal these days. It's a popular service. If you're in an urban or suburban area, you probably don't have much to worry about. If you're out in the boondocks, your daily driver should be something tough enough to handle unmaintained roads. My suggestion: see what your neighbors are driving. Ask their advice. |
Question: Opinions on trading in car with upside down loan? Posted: 07 Nov 2014 07:08 PM PST You will have a hard time bring able to obtain a new loan Mo matter where you go. Did you check with the loan company and find out that the pay off on the loan is nine grand for sure. To get a loan they look at your employment along with how long you have lived at your current Residence. They want to see that you have a good full time job and can afford the payments. OK you owe nine for the one you own you want to trade it for the vehicle worth four. On a trade you may get at at best seven for it. They will not give you the full value of the vehicle. So then you are down two below what you owe on it. So on the vehicle you want to buy you would need to borrow the four they want plus another two for what you still owe. You will have a hard time borrowing six grand on a four grand vehicle. So do some research before you really get into it. |
