Question: Why is my tire losing air?

Posted: 05 Nov 2014 04:54 PM PST

Several months ago, I got all of my tires replaced. When they replaced the front passenger tire, they broke the tpms stem. They replaced it, but I've had a slow leak since. I took my van in to get a replacement tire when, all of a sudden, my tire was flat. I thought there was a hole in the tire, but they said it wasn't the tire, it was leaking at the stem. They repaired it, and sent me on my way. Within 6 hours, my tire was completely flat again. I took the van back in, and they were still adamant it was the stem, and not the tire. They "repaired" it again, and told me if it happens again I would need to go buy a new stem and installation kit. Sure enough, this morning the tire was flat again. I got the new stem and kit, and they installed it. My tire is losing air again. Not as fast as before, but it has lost about 12 lbs. of pressure in 7 hours.

If it is not my tire, and a new stem did not solve the problem, what is wrong with my tire? Please help! Thank you!!!

Question: What brand of battery lasts the longest?

Battery life is completely dependent on your climate and the electrical loads in your car. Hotter climates kill batteries fast than cold. Heat is #1 enemy. Battery may fail in winter, but it was poisoned first by heat. That's why batteries in new cars have insulators around them. Not to keep them warm but to keep heat way.

Also short trips at night with headlights, blower motor, A/C, on and defogger on, and it's really hard on the battery.

Question: Suspension to improve pick up truck ride?

Suspension to improve pick up truck ride?

I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra platinum and I like the truck overall, but I want to get a better ride from the suspension. I ve been looking at rear air suspensions from Firestone and airlift, but people are saying that it only helps with a load on the back, which I don t care about personally. So is there any suspension upgrade out there to improve the ride quality? Like any type of bilstein s or something? Thank you
