What would happen?

Ok so on cars, the odometer only goes up to a certain speed. Is that like the fastest the car could possibly go or is that the fastest it could go without ******* something up? I remember hearing somewhere, idk if it's true or not, but that in older cars like 1950s or somewhere there, the manufacturers would make the odometers only go to 100 or 120 even though the cars could go faster. So I was just curious.

is there any other transportation services besides bus and trains that can take me from utica to new york?
