Question: How much weight should I have in my 1999 rear wheel drive Grand Marquis? Posted: 20 Nov 2014 05:34 PM PST How much weight should I have in my 1999 rear wheel drive Grand Marquis? I have brand new snow tires in the back, decent tread in the front, tire pressure is good and 300 pounds in the trunk. New upper & lower ball joint and front end alignment...and it still feels like I am hydroplaning! Do i have too much weight & it is pulling the front end up? Any ideas what else could be causing this feeling? Only 110,000 miles. I have had the car since 48,000 miles & it spent 14 of its year in Florida (now in Michigan) so pretty much rust free.I feel panicky driving and need to figure something out before I crash into another car! |
Question: How much trouble am I going to be in? Posted: 20 Nov 2014 05:32 PM PST How much trouble am I going to be in? So I'm a fairly new driver (got my license in CA about 4 of weeks ago) and have been a good driver, not even been honked at. But the other day it was raining and I was driving somewhere I shouldn't have been (It was actually IHOP but I didn't tell my parents so I would have been in trouble if they found out) and I stopped too short and barely hit the bumper of the car in front of me. We pulled over and saw no damage (but it was also dark) and she was really nice but said she was leasing the car so she needed my info and I was so nervous but I gave it to her and apologized over and over and she said she would call today if there was any damage. it's around 5:30 and she hasn't called yet, but if there was any damage to the car it would be on what looked to be a rubberized bumper, and I want to know what could happen if she calls really late and there is any damage. I'm hoping she doesn't call, she said she probably wouldn't, so I also didn't tell my parents. But if anybody could help me figure this out I'm really nervous and could use some input. I know I messed up and I am really sorry, but thanks to anyone who could help answer my question. |
