Question: Is my oil leaking?

Posted: 09 Nov 2014 05:16 PM PST

About 1700 miles ago i got an oil changed and when i tried to check the oil this morning before starting the car i had nothing on the dipstick.

I took it for a drive, came back, and let the car sit. I then checked the oil and there was a little on the stick.

I added a quart and checked and later the oil was half way on the dip stick. And i haven't noticed a leak, and i added a quart of mobil 1, my oil change was valvoline blend part synthetic and dino.

Question: Truck Gears! 33s?

Truck Gears! 33s?

I have a 1996 dodge ram 4x4. It has been lifted on 4 or 6" lifted and 33s have been installed. It running on stock gears 3.5 is what the label says, when I take of rpms go up like normal but I don't go as fast as a stock dodge ram 96. The shifting points seem to be off to. 1st and 2nd gear truck just seems to want to run rpms up and shift late. IV been told by many people that 4:10 or 4:11 will help with the truck having it power back a little but I want to know if it will lower mpg or raise it. Plus how much would my rpm get changed. Also going up hills the goes in to low rpm and just bogs down. During this time I let of the gas and turn on over drive then the truck gets up the hill and doesn't slow down. IV read all over online about gears and what they do and don't do. ALSO driving around the truck seems to get hotter now with bigger tires. I know the truck is working harder to turn everything so I know why it getting worm but will gears change it. I know my way around a truck but when it comes to this I'm getting lost. Thanks all input will help please keep it simple when explaining it.

Question: Why does my chimney keep sucking in moisture?

Posted: 09 Nov 2014 04:34 PM PST

why does my chimney keep sucking in moisture?

When I say my chimney has moisture I don't mean it's just wet, I have sucked out gallons of water. The chimney only gets water in it when I burn a fire. It sat all summer untouched, and is perfectly dry. So it can't be a leak in the cap or mortar. Last year we dug out all underneath it and filled it with gravel and cement and is still leaking. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?
