Posted: 04 Nov 2014 04:55 PM PST Update : Bought a 1998 Nissan Sentra with a push start button that bypassed the key thou you still have to turn the key to the "ON" position. It cranks over every now and then which can be irritating The seller bought a new starter with lifetime warranty and I bought a new battery which seems to resolve the cranking issue but seems all the electronics in the car do not turn on. Found a fuse for the alternator that blew. Replaced it and now the electronics are back on Update 2: The push switch seems cheap from Radio Shack or Auto Zone and smokes when trying to turn it on. What gauge wire can handle the voltage from the starter to the switch? Is there a good push button I can look into or should i get the ignition wired back correctly? |
