Just buy a new one. Your grandma had her electric motor "refurbished". You replace them. Nobody fixes them. Even if you find someone who will, that's about one-third the cost of a new machine. If a wash machine motor is gone, everything else is so worn out it will soon follow. Then you will be stuck with an old machine that cost you more to fix than buying a new one.
