Question: Camshaft Position Circuit P0340 OBD Error - What could this be?

Posted: 25 Sep 2014 05:01 PM PDT

I recently acquired a 03 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T. The car is in limp mode (safeguard mode, very little power).

Receiving a P0340 Code "Camshaft Position A Circuit Faulty" but the sensor is known-good. Replaced it with a good sensor, still gets the issue. Took out the "Faulty" sensor and installed it in a working Passat and received no issues. So I know for-sure it is NOT the Camshaft Position sensor. What else should I check? Wiring doesn't look torn or cut leading to the sensor.

Question: Can I bypass the oil sensor on my pressure washer?

Can I bypass the oil sensor on my pressure washer?

My washer shuts off after 10 minutes then does the same after 1-2 minutes. I've tried Everything from checking airflow in tank, lines, carb clean, new plug, oil change...the only thing I can think of is low oil switch going out. Would it be ok to bypass this to see if it keeps running?

Question: My rpm guage doesnt work ???

Just a guess here. Maybe the tach "filter". Its next to the distributor, looks like a condenser. One wire going in to one end, another coming out opposite end. They go bad sometimes or the solder connection vibrates loose.
