Question: Who is at fault if a pickup truck rams into the back of my trailer at a stop light? Posted: 29 Sep 2014 08:20 PM PDT It would have been the fault of the pickup truck driver if you had followed the law that says you must stop after any accident if any vehicle is damaged. However, because you broke the law by driving away, and didn't bother to stop, it doesn't matter who was at fault. You will have to pay however much money the person comes calling later asking you to pay, because if the police get involved, you could lose your license or go to jail, for not stopping, which is much more serious than being at fault for an accident. |
