Question: Does anyone work 7 on/7 off jobs? Are you willing to commute longer in those cases? Posted: 13 Sep 2014 04:36 PM PDT I really can't give much advice that you would deem useful, but then again I doubt anyone else could either! It really is your decision. I would avoid heavy traffic at all costs, even if I had to get to the job a couple hours early! I also had a "commuting" job (high pressure production line management) where I would sleep in the office on occasion, or rent a motel rather than make the drive! Basically, you do what you have to do! Go with the better job and the commute will sort of take care of itself. I did change professions. I now work for myself, by myself! My commute is now about 100 feet ONE WAY, EVERY DAY! (unless the boss tells me he doesn't want to work that day!). Make a living, nowhere what I used to, but I am happy! |
Question: How to avoid getting pulled over in a red sports car? Posted: 13 Sep 2014 07:50 AM PDT Question: How to avoid getting pulled over in a red sports car? Note: ... got a ticket a month or so ago ... cant get a moving violation.... You are two questions, not one. 1. "How to avoid getting pulled over" -- you *cannot* avoid getting pulled over. Red sports car, young guy, they *like* pulling you over. Increase odds of getting pulled over if you are black, brown, yellow, or white in any neighborhood of other racial 'hoods. If you drive too slow they will think you are drunk. If you drive too fast they gotcha. If you drive perfect they will follow you until you do something to pull you over. 2. "How to avoid getting a ticket." -- No problem, don't break any laws. If you want to avoid tickets when breaking the law, you need to avoid the cops. Can be done, mostly. You need to learn how to see the cops. You need to learn where the cops park looking for tickets. Experience works, but you ain't have the experience. Pulled over three times in the wife's HotRod, no tickets 'cause they had nothing on me. |
