Question: 5mph speed limit in car parks?

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 11:02 AM PDT

I've just passed my test and have a black box installed in my car. A certain car park that I visit quite frequently has speed limit signs of 5mph, as well as lots of speed humps. Upon my first visit there, I found it very difficult to do 5mph without feeling as though my car either wanted to stall (in first gear), or it was in too high of a gear (in second gear).

I feel far more comfortable in about 5-10mph because I can still look out and make observations clearly, and can easily slow down quickly without being harsh. However, I just don't understand how to do 5mph comfortably. Plus, everyone else in the car park seems to do about 5-10mph too.

But because I have a black box, I'm especially careful with speeding. Since I'm not doing like 20+mph, I don't think I could be fined severely, but I'm just wondering how it's possible to do 5mph in car parks comfortably. I do just under 10mph, and slow down to 5 with each speed bump. But if I do 5 consistently, it just feels like it's straining the car to go that slowly and trying to slow down further for bumps sounds horrible.

Do I just need to keep my clutch down constantly when going around car parks? How can I do 5mph? Or does doing just under 10mph not hurt, and the black box company won't mind?

Can you tell the difference between a 4wd and a 2wd by looking at the outside?

Without looking underneath or in the cab, if there is no decal on the truck can you tell if it's a 4wd if you are just passing by?

I recommend the Renault Captur. But more importantly, I recommend that you post your question in the Italy portal of Yahoo Answers.

Few people will bother to answer questions posted in a foreign language in the English portal of Yahoo Answers. In fact, posting questions in a foreign language is a serious violation of the community guidelines.

The most economical cars of 2014 are incredibly fuel-efficient. How does 90+mpg for a family hatchback sound, for example?

Keeping up to date with which cars have the best fuel economy isn't easy, so here's our up-to-the-minute guide to the cars with the best mpg.

Low CO2 emissions go hand-in-hand with good fuel economy, of course, and because the road fund licence and company car tax are based on CO2 emissions the most economical cars are also cheap cars to run.

Question: What happen if piece of aluminum drop inside carborator?

One of two possible things will happen:

1. you will remove the carb and fish the piece out, or

2. You will run the engine and suffer major damage to a cylinder wall.
This will in turn require engine replacement or expensive repair.

(I'm guessing you'll remove the metal)
