Question: Where can I found out about a car accident sept 13 2014 on pinegree rd? Posted: 14 Sep 2014 07:23 AM PDT if you were involved the police should have a report if they responded to the accident. if they didn't and you filed paper work to the insurance company then they have the info. if you had nothing to do with this accident then you don't have a right to that info. if you have info on this accident that the police might want to know about then call the police dept and tell them about it |
Question: How can I have a car towed without the key? Posted: 14 Sep 2014 06:50 AM PDT Don't know who gave thumbs down to Mario "Get a new key". Just go to the dealership and show them the title of ownership and they can make a new key from the VIN. I bought a Taco (used) and the keys were very worn and hardly worked. I went to Toyota with the paperwork and they cut me two new keys in 15 minutes. They work great. Mario's answer is a good and valid one. Also, you can have any car towed, anytime. Hope this helps. ˚∆˚ |
Question: Help on new teen car insurance? Posted: 14 Sep 2014 01:31 AM PDT Help on new teen car insurance? Problem is, I want to get the new 2014 model and they want the 2012/13 can somebody tell me the insurance difference between these two models? Thanks |
Question: Minor accident, not at fault, no cooperation from other party? Posted: 13 Sep 2014 11:50 PM PDT You're getting way, way too many people involved in all this. You need to slow it right down, and deal with ONLY the owners of each vehicle. Get your brother, your out-of-state dad and any other volunteer helpers out of the picture, because you're leaving way to much room for he-said-she-said misinterpretation. Next, prepare for some disappointment. Or whoever owns the vehicle needs to prepare for some disappointment, because $800 is all that is going to be paid. Whether this is settled privately or through insurance, nobody will pay more than the original $800 to get the damage fixed. If one shop says they can do it for $2600 and another says they can do the same job for $800, the lower price gets the job. If you were paying for it yourself, which option would you choose? Even though they often claim otherwise, there is nothing special about the repair shop at a dealership. They usually charge more, because they "only use quality original parts", but that doesn't mean they or their work is actually worth more. No court in the world will force anyone to over-pay for the same repair job. You can still have the work done at the dealership if you want, but you'll have to cover the extra $1800 yourself. Or ask them if they can do anything about their price, which they probably can. I've worked in the insurance business for 15 years, and it's absolutely amazing how flexible most repair shops can be with their costs. |
Question: I drove through a closed road at night am I going to get in trouble? Posted: 13 Sep 2014 10:37 PM PDT Did you get caught? If not, you're not in trouble. You have to get caught, red handed, to be charged under traffic laws. Even if your best friend called the cops later and told them you did it, the cops wouldn't do anything. Don't worry about it. Unless the road is closed completely due to an emergency (with proper signs and barricades), you'd probably just get a warning. When roads are closed for stuff like construction, they're still open to 'local' traffic. Local traffic is anyone who lives (or is visiting someone) on that street. |
