Where to get a cheap car?

I'm looking for a cheap shoddy car for under 300 I don't care about reliability or quality. I'm going to only pay a percent above scrap value, my parents bought me a new Ford F150 and I work an hour away from where I live and with school and running by business and my part time job all my money goes to gas! And before someone says "sell your truck" well #1 it's in my parents name and #2 I like it too much #3 I need it. Where should I look for a car like that? I am going to some auto auctions Friday. Should I try there or some private party sellers?

First, DO NOT LEASE! Its stupid. Second, what do you mean "want another car"? You aren't paying for the one you have now. You need to pay the lease off, then buy a car you can afford and keep it. All you are doing is pissing away a ton of money.

Oh, go back and talk to the dealer, they LOVE people like you! I'm sure his "boss" can work something out for you. They'll do you a favor, and then plan their next cruise off the money you'll give them.

If you can afford a new car, and you can pick something you are willing to drive until it has over 100000 miles on it without getting bored with it, by all means, get a new car. However, if you get bored of driving the same car after a few years, or you need to have the latest tech as it comes out, you want to go used. The more often you trade, the older you want to look for.

Even if you know what you want, say a Camaro, and intend to keep it, you may still find what you want slightly used and save $5000 or more.
