Question: A train is moving parallel and adjacent to a highway with a constant speed of 27 m/s.?

Forget the train's speed of 27 m/s and assume the car starts out at 38-27 = 11 m/s

Use the formula v^2 = u^2 + 2as to calculate the final velocity of the car, but then add on the 27 that you left off initially.

So, the final speed of the car is:

v^2 = 11^2 + 2*2*29
v^2 = 121 + 116 = 237
v = √237 = 15.4

But we now need to add on the 27 that we left off at the beginning, so
V = 27 + 15.4 = 42.4 m/s

Question: A subway train in Washington D.C. starts from rest and accelerates at 2.0m/s^2 for 12 seconds.?

You take a piece of [a[er. You make your axis . You plot the points of your equation. You join up the points with a line. You take out your ruler and measure the space on one side of the line you made. Use different colours and make it pretty.
Now did you also need help doing the first integral of the equation too.

Like it starts at zero and goes up like in constant line at a given rate and then time stops at the end of your line at 12 seconds

2.0m/s² are you using the correct units? acceleration is not normally squared but the distance you go is.. This gives you an exponential curve of acceleration which is not normal but possible for math. homework.

Cheif helped. Clarify your notation. It is not clear. Is this acceleration constant at two per second or does it increase to a faster acceleration each second.
One is straight line the other is a curve having you going extremely fast as time moves on 2m/sec 4 m/s 8m the next 16 the next and so on.
Depends what you are squaring in your formula.

distance equals one half of acceleration times seconds squared is how I know the formula.

Each second the train travels a further distance. Than the second before it. The speed goes in a straight line. The distance against seconds is a curved line. If this is calculus question you are wanting to do something with the curved line and first derivative to get the area under the curve.. That is where the formula in words above comes in. Acceleration will be a constant and your curve will be bending as time moves on.for DISTANCE. travelled each second. One metre the first second but the second second for a total of 4 meters the third second the train has travelled 9 metres in total. four seconds it has gone 16 from the start. (Time squared) Your curve.

You have not given the entire question to us. We are train people . This is a question you should ask on the math page it just acceleration and is the same for airplanes cars and bicycles.

Chief answer and mine are both correct. answers Your question is not really clear.
The first part make your graph. WHAT are you plotting on the graph.
Time,Distance,Speed or whatever. You get different graphs depending what you want to figure out.
For calculus it should be time and distance. Speed and time gives you a straight upward line as it goes at a constant rate upwards.

Now have you been totally confused?
If yes wait till you get to sines and cosines then the real confusion of calculus rears its ugly head. with second and third derivatives.

Calculus is challenging and needed if you go to University for things like Engineering and Economics.

Just do it one step at a time and master the basics to make it easier for the rest of it.

Question: Easy way by train. from hyderabad to nepal?

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 01:18 PM PDT

If you want to go from India to Nepal, there is essentially one major border crossing open for travelers to use. This is border crossing at the town of Sunauli (Belahiya). It can be reached from Gorakhpur

There will be numerous trains leaving from Delhi to Gorakhpur. Any will work

There are trains from Varanasi to Gorakhpur if that is your starting point.

You then take a bus.to Nepal

What day which routing which class? What do you think is the BEST place nice hotel, One with NICE restaurant. BEST VIEW Best walking trail. BEST souvenir shop.

Best to arrive early in Gorakhpur (The Morning ) plan your start for that.

There is only one functioning Nepalese passenger railway in Nepal. This 59 km narrow gauge railway runs between Janakpur in Nepal and Jainagar in India close to the border

Nepal remains isolated from the world's major land, air and sea transport routes although, within the country, aviation is in a better state, with 47 airports, 11 of them with paved runways;[96] flights are frequent and support a sizable traffic. The hilly and mountainous terrain in the northern two-thirds of the country has made the building of roads and other infrastructure difficult and expensive. In 2007 there were just over 10,142 km (6,302 mi) of paved roads, and 7,140 km (4,437 mi) of unpaved road, and one 59 km (37 mi) railway line in the south.[96] There is a single reliable road route from India to the Kathmandu Valley. More than one-third of its people live at least a two hours walk from the nearest all-season road; 15 out of 75 district headquarters are not connected by road. In addition, some 60% of road network and most rural roads are not operable during the rainy season

Consider flying for travel to your destination. That is the EASY way.
