Question: College Student Looking to Fly in the Military?

Tips.... 1. This more a aviation section question.
2. Yeah, too late to start ROTC in 3rd year. USAF ots is a option but a very slim one. Under 300 people a year.

3. Since your stuck on fixed wing, I'll skip Army aviation. But The USMC might fit. The PLC program for example.

Question: AVIATION/FLIGHT question: How do you find the standard time for Beginning of Day (B of D)?

Posted: 10 Sep 2014 09:47 PM PDT

Civil Morning twilight is defined as 30 minutes before sunrise at your location.

Not always a good idea to depart right on twilight, especially if taking off into a dark area, with no ground lights. It may look as though visibility is good, but you can find yourself climbing into darkness and disorientation.

Dark space disorientation is a well known phenomenon in wilderness areas, so make yourself a personal rule not to depart VFR until about CMT+10

Question: Do I have to be really great at math to be an airforce pilot?

Posted: 10 Sep 2014 07:09 PM PDT

NO, you DO NOT! have to be "GREAT" at math to be a pilot. If you can operate a pocket calculator and remember a few simple formulas, then you have all the math you need to become a pilot.

You DO, however, need excellent grades in EVERY college subject to be considered to become an Air Force pilot. (Air Force... two words, both capitalized. You have to get good grades in English and spelling too)

Question: Cheap Air line in India ?

Posted: 10 Sep 2014 06:15 AM PDT

there is no such thing as cheap airline.

if you want "cheap flights", you can build your own glider(with a small propeller on its back) and you can travel wherever in India you want. But you need to land from time to time for refueling.

and don't forget to bring a parachute(a home-made one)

here is a website for making one http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Simple-Gli...

No, I can't, as this is the real aircraft category. You would need to post in hobbies or games. OR, find a hobby shop and get some help from them.
