I highly doubt that is true. Mitsubishi has heen planning on stopping making gasoline cars and focusing on hybrid vehicles. (Which is why theyre stopping with the lancer evo too).
Mitsubishi has plans to make a brand new "evo" but it will be a hybrid. They claim that it will be better and fater than the evo(which is hard ti believe cause its a hybrid).
So if theyre planning a new "evo"(they said it might not even be called evo) then theyre probably going to make some sort of eclipse as well. Hybrid version.

BTW I LOVE MITSUBISHI AND I HOPE THAT THEY SUCCEED IN THIS HYBRID CRAP....

Very often, if a part is not from the manufacturer (in your case Infiniti) it will differ in appearance and sometimes performance. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
