| Question: Car dealer lied to me about used car, can I return it? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 07:40 PM PDT I asked the car dealer if the car had any problem, he said no. I test drove it but right after I bought it 10 minutes later. The engine starts shaking. He said I can t return it. Can I return the car if he didn t tell me about the problem? |
| Question: Does this look like odometer was rolled back? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 07:08 PM PDT I ve been searching for a used Prius and I came across to 2 craigslist listings that I ran car fax and their mileage don t look right. Could it be a miss typo or someone rolled back the mileage? One listing: The mileage of the service record went down to 98***miles in 2015 from 216*** miles in 2014. Most recent record shows the mileage is 101k in 2015. And the seller is saying the current mileage is 111k now. Should I avoid this? |
| Question: Financing car question? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 06:26 PM PDT #1. You are in junior college. #2. You probably don't earn the required $1700 a month to get a car loan. #3. The insurance would eat you alive. The last thing you need is a $27,000 car. Maybe you could teach all your fellow classmates how to get their hands on $20k at your age. I'm sure they would appreciate it. |

| Question: What are some good advice for first time buyer of a vehicle? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 04:38 PM PDT Don't buy the first car that you see. It is easy to become excited by a car and buy it. It happens to young people, and they learn and don't do that when they are older. It is hard to buy a reliable car for under $5,000. It's always a gamble, but the more you pay the better your chances. Buy a car with less miles. Try to obtain a car fax for the history of the car. A car with highway miles is better than a car with city miles. A garage kept car is better. Some people prefer buying from private owners as opposed to car dealers. I'm not too picky. Try to guess if it was driven hard by a young man or driven easy by an old lady. The most important thing is to probably look at 10-20 cars. Then, when the right one pops up, you will know it compared to the previous ones. Some cars have been sitting in a garage and been driven 5,000 miles in the last 5 years. When you see that, jump on it. That's when you buy a car, and you decide on it quickly. Be slow choosing on most cars. Best website by far is AutoTrader.
