Question: How to prevent skidding on non ABS bikes in Panick breaking cases? Posted: 18 Sep 2016 12:53 AM PDT Practice... With that you learn to NOT panic and just grab a huge handful of brake in an emergency. Haul on the brake until you feel it just start to lock up and ease off a bit to maintain traction. Once you have traction again, apply more brakes and ease up as needed. So you will be braking and easing off constantly. It does take practice and a cool head. ABS will stop you faster then panicking and locking up the brakes (which is what the average driver will do in a panic) But an experienced driver can probably beat ABS stopping distance by 5-10%, IF they can keep their cool and concentrate on it.

Posted: 17 Sep 2016 08:22 PM PDT Because flashing headlights are usually illegal unless you are an official emergency vehicle. Reason is they would distract other drivers, possibly causing accidents, and they would start to ignore genuine emergency vehicles. "Didn't know it was a Fire Engine. looked like 2 motorbikes behind me"

Question: Dirt bike tire probs? Posted: 17 Sep 2016 03:27 PM PDT Always check the tire pressure before you go riding, especially if the bike sat for a while. Don't recommend just adding a sealant to the tube unless it's an emergency sitution, that stuff screws tubes up so they are just throw-aways afterward. Learn to prep your bike BEFORE riding, usually not a major problem while dirt-riding but if you start riding street it can be.
