Cars & Transportation: Buying & Selling: “Question: Which car should I sell?” plus 3 more

Question: Which car should I sell?

Posted: 22 Oct 2014 09:10 PM PDT

I have a 2002 toyota corolla with 150k miles and a honda pilot with 225k miles and i have to sell one of them. The toyota has had some issues with the battery but could be fixed up pretty easily. The honda has never had any major problems, and I just had its battery replaced last year. I don't know much about how reliable each of these models are in general and how long they last... which one will last longer with the least trouble? can a pilot survive past the 300k mark? (I would prefer to keep that car just because it is bigger, but I don't want it dying on me).

Update : the pilot is from 2004

Question: Is this a good first car?

Is this a good first car?

I'm a 16 year old guy and I want a 2003-06 Volvo XC90 AWD as my first car. I like the looks and size. I know how to drive an SUV. I know it's pretty safe. Is it realiable? I've read mixed reviews on this. Some people said it was the best car they had. Others said it was junk. Is it expensive to fix? My mom's boyfriend said I can fix it myself. Also, is it a mom car?

Question: What might my APR be for financing a used car with a credit score of 723?

Actually, in this day and age, that's a pretty GOOD score. FEW people are up in the 800's....VERY few, so you should be able to get a very low rate. Shop around. Don't believe the finance guy at the dealer. He wants to get you paying a high rate so he can get a better commission.

Question: Would I be approved for a new car loan?

Would I be approved for a new car loan?

I make $1,600/month right now, & the car I want, the deal is $298/mo. Would they approve me? I have 0 bills (except phone bill) & 0 debt, & my credit score is in the 700's. I don't want to go for nothing & look at it & test drive it if I'm not going to get approved.
