Question: How to choose shipping? Posted: 17 Oct 2014 08:32 PM PDT Your friend's info is NOT correct. Any item which is NOT in an envelope is a parcel. You used a bubble mailer. Also letters which are thicker than 1/4 inch are shipped as large envelope price if NOT more than 1/4 inch thick or parcels if they are 3/4. Standard post is for large items & the shipping is slower. First class is for small pkgs & shipping is much faster than standard. Check out these links (standard post claims 2 - 8 days -- those are business days - Mon - Friday https://www.usps.com/ship/standard-post.... You can play around with calculate a price - just enter various weights & zipcodes For first class quoting from USPS "First-Class Mail® is a fast and affordable service for envelopes and packages weighing up to 13 oz. Delivery is in 2-3 business days" https://www.usps.com/ship/first-class.ht... BTW - you can NEVER drop a pkg which weighs more than 13 ounces in a mail box with stamps. It has to have a prepaid label. $2.32 is the correct postage for 1st class mail, under 2 ounces If your pkg was not more than 1/4 inch thick - large envelope price is 1.19 -- but envelope can not be too rigid & if more than 1/4" thick it goes at parcel price & that is the same as what you paid $2.32 for first class mail. How to choose -- small pkg under 13 ounces -- 1st class. Larger item -- standard post. Envelope if it does NOT weigh more than 3 1/2 ounces & not more than 1/4 inch thick. Yes they do measure. Question: Is it a bad deal I got from dealer? Posted: 17 Oct 2014 08:21 PM PDT Is it a bad deal I got from dealer? I just go to the dealer to deal with them. I find the car that I like, it is Toyota camry 2013 LE with 14k miles for 16.900 for the first price and 19.200 ( include tax, tag and document fee). I feel like the price they give me to high. So I tell them that I will go home to think about it. They also give me 100.00 miles warranty to fix the car for free. And how can I deal with them to make a lower price, it is my first car's buy. And they give me the interest 9.4 ( even I have a very good credit, 736). |
Question: Dealer Sold me a painted car!? Posted: 17 Oct 2014 07:05 PM PDT So the problem is actually that the car is Poorly repainted? Repairs from a minor accident probably? It's quite common to have panels repainted after a minor accident. Even if they replace some panels, they still need to be painted to match the rest of the car. This doesn't go on the cars title unless the damage is severe and the insurance co write it off. Difference is a that a good paint shop should leave the car so it's hard to tell. Not much come back on the dealer as the car is as you saw it before you bought it. It's obviously not that bad as you only noticed when it was pointed out to you. Only option you really have if it's bugging you that much, is to have the paint shop redo the job properly. But that wont do cheap. You already have a cheap paint job. To do it properly they need to strip, spray putty, sand etc to get the panel perfect again, then repaint. And that takes time. |
