Posted: 20 Oct 2014 07:07 AM PDT If you do everything else absolutely perfectly (not a single mistake, minor or major), you should still be able to pass. Nonetheless, parallel parking is almost guaranteed to be on the test, and it's pretty useful when parking in big cities, so here are some tips to practice with: First, drive past the spot. Keep moving slowly until the back corner light of the car in front of the spot is in the little window next to the main back passenger window (the main being the one that opens). Rotate your wheel to the right as far as it will go (normally two and a half rounds). Slowly reverse until the curb just begins to disappear under the bumper, or until the back corner light of the front car is in the corner window of the front passenger seat, which ever you're more comfortable with. Return the wheel to the straight position, then turn it one full round to the left. Continue to reverse and adjust the direction as needed. Parallel parking sucks to do, but it's useful to know how to do it (better to have and not need). |
Posted: 20 Oct 2014 06:15 AM PDT Anyone who has been in a collision car accident: How long does it take to sort everything out? I'm a patient person, but I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what will happen next. The accident was on Friday so of course no one has touched it since then. I'm wondering how long it takes to find out whose fault it was, if you'll be cited, etc etc. Any input and advice is extremely helpful as this has never happened to me before. Thanks in advance! |
Question: 04 Mustang GT VS BMW 545i Insurance Rates? Posted: 20 Oct 2014 12:28 AM PDT 04 Mustang GT VS BMW 545i Insurance Rates? Hey guys, I have a 2004 mustang gt 40th anniversary edition, its a V8 if you're not familiar with them. I'm looking to get a 2004 BMW 545i I'm 18, I will be 19 in a month. I don't drive often, I've never been an accident and have never gotten pulled over for anything. I've been driving since I was 14 since that's the legal age to drive in South Dakota so I'm not an unexperienced lead foot dipshit of a teenager. I'd like an answer from an actual BMW owner, it'd be more of a believable guess since they've experienced it first hand. |
