Question: Could I have a chance at winning the baja 500 or the 1000? Posted: 25 Oct 2014 11:12 AM PDT Could I have a chance at winning the baja 500 or the 1000? Im 18 I have a 2005 expedition 4x4 5.4l v8 independent suspension. I want to race more than anything but this is my only resource! I want to strip it out and put in a roll cage and go.... At the auto show a few years back ford had a simulator of the raptor on an off road baja type track and I got the best time for the whole show in detroit... I know I can win the baja 1000 if I can get my truck to compete with the truckys and other purpose built trucks but I know the odds of me turning a 2005 suv into an off road monster that can keep up with trophy trucks is slim to none but can anyone help me out?! Is this a start is there anywhere I can go to get sponsored is it too little too late?! What types of modifications are needed how much money will it cost?! If I do race with what I have and Im not competitive with the truphy trucks is there any chance people could see me and put me in a real truck for the next race? What would I need to place to make that happen?! |
