Question: Humming noise in car while on idle. 98 maxima? Posted: 19 Oct 2014 07:13 AM PDT Humming noise in car while on idle. 98 maxima? I thought it might of been the power steering fluid or pump. But I don't know if it is. There's also a big amp installed in the car. Could that be it? |
Question: Want to install sound system in my car? Posted: 18 Oct 2014 07:53 PM PDT Hey all, I recently got a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and since it is used, it's sound system is starting to falter. I want to get a new sound system, but I do not know what to do.i do not know anything about cars (I'm 18), so I wanted to know what I had to do to replace the stereo system, and the speakers. Do I have to get the components first, and then get them install at the shop? Or does the shop sell the sound systems and speakers as well? |
Posted: 18 Oct 2014 05:18 PM PDT This is to hook up an amp and subwoofer to the cd player The amp has the two jacks in the back the red and the white But the CD player has two options, the red and white option, and Sub out mono option. The Sub out option also has two rca things but they are just white. So which ones do you use? And what's the diffence? |
Question: Is a 1000watt amp to much for one sub? Posted: 18 Oct 2014 01:18 PM PDT Since your sub is a d4 it can be wired for 2 ohms (coils parallel) or 8 ohms (coils series). The amp is about the perfect amt of power (480w) if you wire the sub for 2 ohms. Max ratings are meaningless. |
Question: How much volts does an audio system use? Posted: 18 Oct 2014 11:03 AM PDT A car's electrical system produces 12.5-14.4v. Every electrical device in the car operates on that voltage. CURRENT is the issue when you start adding electronics. A car's alternator generally produces 100-140A. Typical stock current demand is in the 40 to maybe 70A range. |
