How much is a reasonable amount to be payed for house sitting?

3 days, including 2 nights. Feeding cats, chickens, and taking care of a dog.
I just want some sort of idea.

I had a longer (1 1/2 hours, each way) college commute. It wiped me out. The worst mistake of my life.

12 miles? A bicycle would be faster than 1:15. Is there no other way for you to do this?

Should I take the metro north from Fordham to new Rochelle to get the amtrack or should I the amtrack at Stamford.

How are greenhouse gas emissions effected by the speed one is driving their car?

I'm trying to figure out how much of a difference in greenhouse gas emissions it would be when closing lanes for highway construction vs closing off the whole road and having an alternate route. Any websites that would help determine emissions vs mph or such would be great.

I asked my housemate to drive me to a bus station 30-40 minutes away so I can catch a bus home on time. He said it wasn't necessary to chip in money for gas but I want to leave something...how much should I give him?
The station is also 38-40 miles away & this is the first time I ask him for a ride anywhere.
