I hit a car and didn't know I did it until I picked up my son. How can I make it right?

I was leaving work and backed up I didn't feel like I had hit the car so I pulled out. When I got to where my son was I noticed a scratch on my car. I want to make it right who should I contact? I don't know who owns the car but I could put a note on the window on Monday. Or should I call and let the security at work know? Should I call and let the police know?

The bank or finance company who financed the car should have sent you a release of lien along with the title to the car when you first paid off the loan. You can contact the bank and ask for a copy, if they still have the original, but it might take some time. Good luck with that.
