Is this aftermarket or factory? Does it make any sound also does it eject a cd once placed into it? The most common cause of a bad cd player is the eye has gone bad. Onlymthing you can try as a last minute resort is to get a cd cleaner sometimes it will work often its more like putting a bandaid on a big problem. Also 9 times out of 10 its cheaper to buy a new cd player rather than pay to have it fixed. Only exceptions are if you have a car, this is not common either, like say and Acura tl where a dash kit is hard to come by so this is am instance id recommend repair. Lmk amy other questions
