Question: What kind of ships resemble old pirate ships? or can I make a modern ship look like one? Posted: 26 Oct 2014 12:49 PM PDT What kind of ships resemble old pirate ships? or can I make a modern ship look like one? One day I hope to own a ship of my own and might even make it a house boat. I'm really into pirate history and stuff and thought it would be cool to make a modern day ship look like a pirate ship, would that be possible? |
Posted: 26 Oct 2014 12:38 PM PDT captains log books? or the captains notarized word of sea time for a 6 pack or better license? I have approximately 270 days at sea as a deckhand, out up to 1,500 mi. off the coast, and at least 90-100 days of recent sea time. Not sure the tonnage of the boat but its an Alaskan long liner 72' with an 18' beam, and sleeps 5 + the captains quarters (6), all steel of course. |
Question: How long would it take to travel 3000 miles in knots? Posted: 25 Oct 2014 09:03 PM PDT The same amount of time it would take to travel 3,000 miles in mph. Or for that matter, in km/h or for that matter, in km/s, or for that matter the same amount of time as any other way you want to measure the average speed at which you cover the distance. In other words, you are still travelling at the same average speed … however you define it. For some great answers concerning nautical speeds, see Yahoo! Answers at: https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/in... -|--) |
Posted: 25 Oct 2014 05:15 PM PDT Are you in Mississippi? If so I would be interested in helping. What are your plans exactly? I'm glad to see someone appreciates history like this and won't let it sit and rot away. Best of luck! |
