Question: 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.7L missing? Posted: 15 Oct 2014 04:32 PM PDT 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.7L missing? My truck was running fine but when I was on my way home from work while stopped at a traffic light it started missing. I brought it home and read the codes, the scanner said it had a misfire, bad egr valve and a bad mass air flow sensor. I've changed the fuel filter and the spark plugs not even a week ago but haven't been able to change the plug wires or the distributor cap yet. UPDATE: I changed the egr valve today and unplugged the mass air flow sensor while it was idling just to see if it would still miss, no change so is it a misfire??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
Question: 1975 f250, no transmission somehow..? Posted: 15 Oct 2014 04:27 PM PDT 1975 5.9l f250 custom. (Not factory motor, probably not factory anything..) Worked fine. However, if I throw it in 4h or 4l, it'll move. They're all loose fitting, but every gear from the tree relays to the bar that's from tree to trans., an 4x4 lever relays to the 2 trans to tc bars. Idk. Before it wouldn't go, back when it woul go, it'd lunge forward when put into drive, and take forever to shift 2-3. Idk. Why won't it go? I haven't touched it, it broke over night. Maybe.. The axles have to be put in the exact same gear they were taken out of? That's seems unlikely. I think the motor in it is like a... 1980-83 351c. I say c rather than w cuz it's got a 2bbl. |
