Question: What is the biggest plane u can keep flying upside down? Posted: 06 Aug 2016 08:04 PM PDT Any airplane can be rolled (illegally) regardless of size or weight - With 1 or 2 "G's" load factor, not an issue - except your license and the FAA..! The problem is to feed the engines with fuel continuously for any length of time - The Boeing 707 prototype got rolled by test pilot Tex Johnson - I rolled a 747 simulator (real Level D simulator) at the training center a few times - Rolls well...!
Posted: 06 Aug 2016 07:56 PM PDT For pilots to get good money, it takes 4-year college degree first - Then getting a commercial pilot license to start - That pilot license by itself costs some $80,000 and takes about 1 year training - The pay good...? - Yes, so-so - except the first 5 to 10 years when you start to be a pilot - You might start making almost "decent" money by the time you get to age 32 to 35 or so - Yes, there are airline pilots making some $200,000 or more - Sorry, it is life reality -
Question: Why does thrust decrease as airspeed increases? Posted: 06 Aug 2016 07:49 PM PDT so the modern, common jet engine that you see on airliners are actually technically called turbofan engines. specifically high bypass turbofans. the idea behind this is that there is a turbine engine, with a big huge fan at the front. most of the air going into the engine actually skips the turbine. it is just moved by the fan. turbofans are efficient because they move lots of air at a low speed. low bypass turbofans like those in military jets, or even just jet engines as seen many many years ago, moved little air very quickly which uses a lot more energy. with high performance fighter jets that need higher speeds, their low bypass turbofans accelerate air more with the turbine than the fan so the exhaust speeds are much higher. this means that the plane can reach higher speeds as the thrust does not diminish as much as the plane speeds up.
Question: What is the average entry level salary for a helicopter pilot? Posted: 06 Aug 2016 07:28 PM PDT Sight-seeing and flight instructors, maybe $18,000/year to start with - Lucky if you fly full time, not "just the week-end" - Other fields, like law enforcement helicopters or medical evacuation, you need years of experience -
Posted: 06 Aug 2016 05:21 PM PDT I have never heard about "KOEL" you mention - I used to work for a USA air carrier, then after their bankruptcy, I went to fly with foreign aurlines - MEL Minimum Equipment List -
