Question: Fastest accelerating liter bike? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 02:06 AM PDT So, do you want fastest acceleration, or highest top speed? You seem confused, like most trolling idiots. Trolls don't have the balls to run any of those up to the top end. Stop being stupid. |
Question: Where to sell a 1975 Honda Elsinore Cr125? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 11:18 PM PDT ebay. I have sold several vintage bikes on there, and they always do well. Still, I'd add a reserve to it, those are somewhat collectible in really good shape. |
Question: Motorcycle braking question? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 11:17 PM PDT What bike do you ride? Standard and sports bikes will stop perfectly safely and most effectively on the front brakes only. Supermotos and dual sports because they have longer springier forks will dive quite hard on the front, they will stop on the front but a touch of back can help reduce the dive. Maybe 70:30 front to rear. Some of the cruiser bikes, because of their weight distribution and CofG, length of trail and degree of rake, tend to push the front wheel under heavy braking, so more rear brake might be advisable. But your friend clearly does not know what he is talking about, MOST bikers do not prefer rear brakes over front. The ones that actually ride use the appropriate brake for the conditions, in most cases and on the majority of bikes the front brakes are the ones to rely on. But in some conditions the rear should be used as well. Weather, road, bike geometry, situation can all help determine which to use and how much. In over 40 years riding I have never seen anyone "flip over the handlebars" even under the heaviest braking. There is a stunt that some riders do called a stoppie where the rear wheel is raised off the ground, sometimes at extreme angles, I am sure some of those have gone over the front at one time or another, but it takes a lot of effort or hamfistedness to provoke a stoppie. "I think Ima make the switch over to rear break use" I think ur gonna hurt urself. |
Question: What s causing my motorcycle battery to drain so fast? Posted: 10 Aug 2016 08:40 PM PDT there is somewhere something in the bike that drains the battery, it first needs to find out what it is, that can be done my using a voltmeter on the cables while the bike is turn off, to see where an electric flow is through the cabels to what device, that will be the device that drains the battery. if that is how the electric parts in the bike are constructed, then replacement parts will not help, because they will be all the same and draining the battery, in that case only a switch to take the battery of the line will help to not drain the battery, else if a device unnormaly drains the battery, then a replacement part will help. it could be that no electric part drains the battery while the bike is turned off, it could be then that the alternator which is supposed to charge the battery is damaged. to test the alternator, the plus cabel needs to come of the battery, if the engine then stops working, then that means the alternator doesnt produce any electricity to supply the sparkplugs to ignite the engine and when there is no electricity from the alternator, then the battery cant get charged either and is then discharged soon. |
