Question: 2006 kawasaki brute force? Posted: 14 Aug 2016 06:18 PM PDT Could be a number of issues going on- Is the air-filter clean? Do you over-winter the quad without stablizing the fuel? Have an in-line fuel-filter? (checked/replaced lately?) Without being there it's a guessing game over the internet. Guessing that it's running lean by your detail 'when it warms up'. |
Question: How to take home a motorcycle from a private sale? Posted: 14 Aug 2016 06:12 PM PDT You can take a chance and ride it illegally without plates. Have a friend tailgate you home so law enforcement will not notice your bike being unregistered. Rent a trailer. A third option would be to purchase a temporary license plate from the IA county treasurer |
Question: What are your thoughts on a honda ruckus? Posted: 14 Aug 2016 05:56 PM PDT I am often in the neighborhoods of college campuses, and I ride a motorcycle and park in the reserved motorcycle spaces, and I see a LOT of Ruckuses (Rucki?) A lot of guys 'stretch' them and modify them, and I think they look really cool. It's not the perfect all-around vehicle. It's specialized for getting around an urban neighborhood no faster than 30 or so. But on a nice day it's a delightful way to get around. The Ruckus has the same guts as the Metropolitan. The Metro looks like a beautiful classic Vespa while the Ruckus looks like a piece of farm equipment. In Japan the Metro is for girls and the Ruckus is for boys. |

Posted: 14 Aug 2016 04:20 PM PDT Over oiled air filter. When you squeeze the air filter, no oil should drip from the element, but the air filter oil will get your hands sticky. If the spark plug is black and wet (oil fouled) that can be from a to rich fuel mixture, or leaking right crankshaft seal. In response to one of your comments - too thick of a fuel hose will not cause the spark plug to foul. |
