We bought a used '04 Beetle in '05, daughter #3 still drives it.<br/>All cars over the past 20 years are "complicated" -- designed so the dealer gets work on it.<p>Get an older one, not one of the newer that looks like someone squished it down. It is fairly short, easier to park. The Germans like their performance, the base Beetle runs like it in on rails.
