Posted: 17 Aug 2016 06:44 PM PDT Don't matter if you finance ...OR Cash Sale,...you still pay TAX....Title & registration fee......Dealers " Doccument fee " ( a real rip-off ).....every dealer does it that Ive ever known about,,,,,,,,,,,,,cash or finance you got the same fees....only thing you might save is a " Loan Application Fee"

Question: How to negotiate for buying a car? Posted: 17 Aug 2016 06:44 PM PDT I am looking around my town for a Toyota Prius. Keep in mind, I m a college student so financing probably not the best idea should I decide to quit my job. SO looks like I m paying in full. 8500 is my absolute max. Anything above that would break me. But....3 priuses are all listed for 9k. Is there a smart way to negotiate 9k to 8500? They re all about to reach 100k miles, but they re supposed to last forever so that might not be that big of a deal |
Question: Help me pick out my first car? Posted: 17 Aug 2016 04:29 PM PDT Wife got a new '03 Beetle, still has it. We bought a used '04 Beetle in '05, daughter #3 still drives it. All cars over the past 20 years are "complicated" -- designed so the dealer gets work on it. Get an older one, not one of the newer that looks like someone squished it down. It is fairly short, easier to park. The Germans like their performance, the base Beetle runs like it in on rails. Very tough if you get into a collision, which is why my wife and daughter have Beetles. |
