Posted: 11 Aug 2016 05:59 AM PDT As long as you don't crash or get caught, you won't have any consequences. If you do crash or get caught, you deserve all the consequences you get. And the consequences are severe. You know you're not allowed to drive without valid insurance, you said so yourself in your question, and people who break the law on purpose can expect harsher treatment than people who just made a common mistake. If you get caught because you crashed, the consequences are even more severe. Because not only will you have to answer to a judge for driving without insurance, you'll be expected to honour an agreement you made. When you drive with no insurance, you're saying "I'll cover that personally if it happens" and signing your name under it. And you will be required to make good on your promise. You can un-agree to that promise before an accident happens, but not after. Before you decide to drive without insurance, make sure you know and understand what you're agreeing to. Then ask yourself if it's worth the risk. |
