Question: Which is best in your opinion? Posted: 09 Nov 2015 07:41 PM PST Actually, neither one is a good option. Cassette adapters, especially the cheaper ones, have relatively high failure rates. And even when they work, the sound quality may not be very good. FM transmitters will definitely suffer from RF interference. If, for whatever reason, you won't install a new head unit that has the type of input you need, the BEST option would probably be an "FM modulator". Transmitters and modulators work the same way. But modulators have a physical connection (antenna) to the existing receiver. RF interference is greatly reduced. But it's still possible if there's an exceptionally strong signal on the frequency you select. The real best option is to replace the receiver/head unit with one that has the appropriate input(s). |
