Question: How to know what the requirements for car speakers are? Posted: 16 Nov 2015 01:01 AM PST The speakers will be rates to suit the stock amplifier so that is not going to give out more than the 15 W or it would blow them to bits. The 75 watt speakers will just produce the same sound level as the 15 W ones if hooked up to the stock unit The other thing to get right is the impedance of the speakers to suit the unit. Without a new head unit you will do little to change the sound The amplifier needs to be hooked up to speakers of the correct impedance. No new head unit = no extra volume though quality MIGHT be improved with those speakers you mention. If the head unit is poor then maybe the quality will not be better. The speaker mounting area also affects sound quality too |
