Question: Help with documents needed for 18 year old getting drivers license? (TX)?

1. So for the proof of residency I m having trouble getting anything since I live with my parents and I ve been out of school since last year. Could I fill out a Texas Residency Affidavit and use two utility bills with my mom s name on them?

2. On the website it says
Present either:
Proof of Texas vehicle registration and evidence of financial responsibility for each vehicle owned by the applicant or
A statement affirming that the applicant does not own a motor vehicle.

I m kind of confused on that. I m going to be taking my road test with my fathers car since I feel more comfortable in that one. I don t have my name on the insurance or anything and so would I need to bring my father along as well? If you could elaborate on this I would really appreciate it.

I ve already taken the adult drivers ed online and have my certificate so I just need more information on the above points.
Thank you.

Question: I passed my drivers ed written test i still dont know how to drive, what do i do next ?

That's nothing unusual. Passing the written test just means you can recognize road signs three times out of four, which is why they only give you a learner's permit when you pass.

Nobody was born knowing how to drive, it's a learned skill. That's what your permit is for. What you want is a driver's education course, and don't go with the cheapest jokers in town. This driving thing is serious stuff, literally a matter of life and death every time you do it, so go with a good driving school. See who AAA / CAA recommends in your area, or ask a few insurance providers who they would trust.

Driver training costs money, but it's money well spent. A good driving instructor can take someone who doesn't even know what the pedals are for, and turn them into a confident driver in no time. Good driving instructors have the patience of a saint, the reflexes of a Samurai, and balls of solid steel. Just find one of them, and you'll be fine.

Question: How can i get HAAd Licence?

Posted: 11 Nov 2015 07:15 AM PST

Go to whoever normally issues HAAd licenses, and ask for an application. Fill the application out, probably pay a fee, and they'll tell you what the steps are after that.

Now I just gotta ask... what the hell is a HAAd licence?

Question: My drivers license is suspended here in TX. I am moving to North Carolina in March, will the suspension show up if I apply for a DL there?

Posted: 11 Nov 2015 04:47 AM PST

It sure will. If your licence is suspended at home, it's suspended everywhere.

You could try to fool the North Carolina DMV into issuing a new permit and licence for you, but the key word is try. As soon as they enter your name and DOB into their database, they'll find your suspension from Texas.

Question: I was involved in a hit and run accident. What can I do if the person who rear ended me gave me info and fled immediately after?

Posted: 11 Nov 2015 04:22 AM PST

You've already done everything you can do, so stop wasting your time seeking revenge on the other driver.

That wasn't a hit and run, because the bimbo who hit you, and she's not the sharpest crayon in the box, gave you all her information. The cops know her privileges are revoked, and they'll catch up with her. Her insurance company will also want a word with her, in fact they'll probably find her before the police to.

Trust me, she's not going to get away with anything and the cops won't need you to press charges. You need to worry about your own problems, not hers. You could take this broad to court, but you'd be wasting your time. The odds that she has hundreds of thousands kicking around in her bank account are between slim and none, and no insurance company is going to jump in and offer to pay a personal lawsuit for her.
