Question: Correcting mistakes on Certificate of Title for autos? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 09:44 PM PST You need to get a replacement title printed. Nothing to worry about, it's usually the easiest thing in the world. Fill out a form, pay a fee, wait in line, and done deal. It can (maybe possibly) be a little difficult, but only if you end up dealing with a DMV clerk that takes themselves way too seriously. Government employees can be that way sometimes, it's just a fact. But even if they decide to lecture you at length, they'll still print a new certificate for you so just let them think they're really important. If you're too embarrassed to tell them you signed in the wrong spot, just tell them it's lost, missing or stolen. You have no idea what happened, you just can't find the document. They won't ask for details if you say that, they do at least 20 lost / stolen document replacements per day. |
Question: Do you have to have your Instructions permit for 6 months in Wisconsin? Posted: 19 Nov 2015 08:05 PM PST Have you READ your driver's handbook, provided by Wisconsin? Have you visited their website to see what it says about your permit and taking the road test? If you're getting your Instruction Permit, you must be enrolled in a certified Driver's Education course. Your driver's education course must include 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, and 6 hours of in-car observation. Once you get your instruction permit, your first behind-the-wheel lesson must be conducted within 60 days. You must be accompanied at all times by someone who has at least 2 years of driving experience and presently holds a valid regular (non-probationary) license. If you're at least 16 years old, have had your instruction permit for 6 months, and have completed Driver's Ed, you can apply for your probationary license. NOTE: You cannot have had any violations for the 6 months prior to applying. To get your license, you'll have to pass the road test. You must hold your probationary driver's license for 2 years, starting from the date of your next birthday; therefore, the earliest you can obtain your regular driver's license is 18 years old. |
